Interpretation Services
Adamant’s Team of interpreters are all trained professionally & can interpret most languages to support your needs in a variety of different ways. Consecutive Interpreting
Consecutive interpreting involves an interpreter being in the same room as the speaker, taking notes while the speaker talks. The interpreter then delivers the entire speech in the target language once the speaker finishes. This method is suitable for scientific and technical presentations by a single speaker or in meetings where only a few languages are spoken. However, it can make meetings longer as the speaker must pause to allow for interpretation.
Simultaneous Interpreting
Simultaneous interpreting typically occurs in a booth with a clear view of the meeting room and the speaker. The interpreter listens to the speech and immediately interprets it into the target language. This approach requires a soundproof booth and specialized equipment such as headphones and microphones to meet standards. It is commonly used in multilingual conferences to ensure real-time communication.
Whispering
Whispering is a form of interpreting where the interpreter is seated next to one or two meeting participants and quietly interprets the speech. This method is employed when only a few people require interpretation. It is also known as “chuchotage” in French.
Consultant Interpreter
Consultant interpreters not only provide interpretation but also serve as advisors to conference organizers or potential clients. They help clients find the best match between the organizer’s needs and the interpreting requirements, often providing teams of interpreters for events.
